ALL men, members and non-members alike, are welcome to join us the morning of Sunday, August 9, at 7:30 AM, for prayer and breakfast. Come and lift up your praises and prayers, including the spiritual needs of others, and then enjoy a fine morning meal to start your day of rest.
All AFBC members are welcome to join Sunday School Outreach and Outreach Team leaders in church-wide visitation every Monday evening at 7:00 PM. Please plan to take part and contribute to your church’s ongoing and future outreach to a lost world.
All youth (middle and high school students) are invited to join us each Wednesday evening – at 6:30 PM for ping-pong, and then 7:00 PM for song worship, prayer, and Bible study and discussions – to take part in our ongoing study, Demolishing Strongholds. By Answers in Genesis, the youth-focused and DVD-based study’s “strategic topics include developing a biblical worldview, tips on how to engage and reach friends for Christ, confidence boosting ideas on how to confront our evolutionized culture, examples of ‘cultural brainwashing,’ and an inspiring challenge on how to be God’s players in the game called life.”
Don’t worry if you’ve not been able to attend the study from the beginning – or if you miss any portions in the midst of it – you’ll be able to jump right in wherever we may be. Please come and take part with the group!
Each Sunday evening at 6:00 PM a new children’s Bible study for ages 3 through 5th grade is ongoing. Don’t let your kids miss out on this blessed opportunity each Sunday evening to grow spiritually and better know and understand God’s Word.
This project is meant to generate interest in the bulletin board in the SS hallway (Salt & Light) and encourage others to be involved in political affairs as Christians. The names, addresses, emails, and telephone numbers of representatives will be posted. Also, future pieces of pertinent legislation will be presented there. We encourage all to continue to check the S&L bulletin board for updates. Note: all correspondence to our representatives should be kind and Christ-like in their content, as any correspondence reflects on Christ and our church.
Every Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM. This Christ-centered deliverance ministry, led by assistant pastor Lee Sass, is aimed to help anyone who seeks to ask the Lord to help them with their hurts, habits, and hang-ups (co-dependancy, drug and alcohol abuse, etc.).
The nursery is always in need of extra helpers (Sunday School, Sunday morning, Sunday evening, or Wednesday evening). Anyone who is interested, please contact Faith Shoemaker. Thank you!
